terms
last updated 23 october 2026. by using playcount (playcount.fm) you agree to these terms.
your account
you need to be at least 13 to use playcount. keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account. one person, one account.
what you post
- you own your ratings and reviews. by posting them you let playcount show them on the site (including in lists, scores and share images) for as long as they're up.
- be decent: no harassment, hate, spam, impersonation, or posting other people's private information. no fake accounts or rating manipulation.
- don't post anything you don't have the right to share, and never upload or link pirated music.
we can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
the site
playcount is provided as is. we work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. album details, scores from critics and links to streaming services come from third parties; those services have their own terms.
playcount plus
playcount plus is an optional subscription: $3 a month or $24 a year. it renews automatically each period until you cancel. you can cancel any time with manage subscription in settings; the perks then last until the end of the period you already paid for. payments are handled by stripe.
plus only adds extras: no ads, a monthly trinket, a plus badge, a ring around your picture, a name colour and one extra shelf plank. it never changes a score, a ranking or xp. trinkets you've received stay yours if plus ends; the extra plank is hidden and comes back if you renew.
xp, pressings and items
xp, pressings, stamps, trinkets and other unlocks are for fun inside playcount. they have no cash value, can't be sold or transferred, and may be adjusted as the game is balanced.
ending things
you can stop using playcount any time and ask us to delete your account at playcount.fm@gmail.com. we may update these terms; if we do, we'll change the date above.
